TWhy aren't houses fireproof yet?

The technology for 100% fireproof homes has been available or almost fifty years now. So why aren’t there any houses made out of the stuff? Simple the firefighter unions. After the police unions the fireman’s union is one for the strongest just ask Mayor Mumbles. Imagine if there were no flammable buildings there would be no need for firefighters. Meaning they would have to find work somewhere else where they would actually have to work instead of playing cards all night. I know I am going to get a lot of heat (pun attended) for this, but it is true. Firefighters do not risk their lives as much as you think. They are the ones that are preventing this life saving technology all so they can keep there jobs.
